As an avid music listener, I’ve been lucky enough to test out a variety of wireless speakers that have recently hit the market. While manufacturers are following the popular trend of making these speakers as small as possible for portability (and let’s be honest, the cute factor), one thing that has been lacking is sound quality.
While the bem speaker is not necessarily the smallest speaker out there – you could hardly call that a flaw. Especially since the audio quality is so rich and the speaker doesn’t produce an overwhelming amount of bass – an issue I ’ve had with past speakers. With summer in tow, I’ve had many opportunities to bring along the speaker to BBQs and outdoor parties. Out of all the speakers I’ve brought to past parties, the bem speaker has received the most positive feedback.
This portable Bluetooth speaker is super easy to connect with devices – in my case I connected it to both my Macbook and iPhone 4s without issue. Simply turn on the speaker and turn on the Bluetooth on your device to the pair the devices.
The bem speaker measures at barely 2.5″ cubed, so while it’s not the smallest I’ve seen, it’s still small enough to throw into any purse or bag. It comes in six cool colours (mine was purple) and has the market price of $69.99 USD.
Okay, so the price might be a little steep, but if you’ve been shopping around for a good quality portable speaker, then this is definitely worth the investment.
bem follows the concept ‘big sound, small package,’ but I might also add ‘worth every penny’.
