Foodies, behold the Chop-Syc. It looks like a basic wooden cutting board, but it’s so much more. Made of durable, scratch-proof glass, the tablet displays a wooden digital wallpaper. Oh, and the tablet happens to support Wi-Fi, meaning it can easily pull up cooking sites, recipes, measurement conversions, nutrition information, portion control tips – anything a kitchen needs.
Yes, I know iPads can become cutting boards too with a tough screen protector. But who doesn’t like the idea of not getting their normal tablet full of crumbs and grease smudges? I know I’d rather have a kitchen-friendly device that doubles as a chopping board without worrying about my everyday tablet.
Currently the Chop-Syc is still just a concept, but it’s designer, Siobhán Andrews, has been named the winner of the #GetItDownOnPaper competition, meaning it’s very likely this product will go into production soon.
